Zambia PF Drops 15 Kitwe Non Performing Councillors

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Kitwe District chairperson Allan Mwewa has said the party only readopted three councillors out of the 17 previous office holders because the others did not perform to people's expectations.
Speaking in an interview in Kitwe when he released the names of adopted PF candidates for local government seats, Mr Mwewa said only Bibian Nyeleti for Buchi Ward, Faustino Mwape for Mindolo Ward and Chileshe Bweupe for Parklands were adopted from the previous crop of PF councillors.
"We have only adopted three out of the 17 previous councillors because others were selfish individuals who failed to deliver on their campaign promises. They could not even hold meetings to discuss issues of development," Mr Mwewa said.
Among the newly-adopted PF local government candidates included losing independent parliamentary candidate for Chimwemwe constituency in the 2006 elections Ackson Mungalaba, who has been adopted for Buntungwa Ward.
Under Chimwemwe Constituency, PF has adopted Rodgers Siame for Kawama Ward, Elias Mwila Mutale for Lubuto Ward, Brighton Chifunda for Twatasha Ward, Andrew Simwanza for Itimpi Ward and Charles Kabwita for Chimwemwe Ward.
In Kwacha Constituency, PF has adopted Christopher Chilufya for Chantente ward, Chipasha Kasusu for Ipusukilo ward, Christopher Kang'ombe for Riverside ward, Edmond Musenge for Bulangililo ward,Mwansa Chipalo for Kwacha ward, Godfridah Mambwe for Lubwa ward.
Those adopted under Nkana constituency are PF constituency chairperson Steven Kainga who has been adopted in Kamakonde ward, Faustino Mwape for Mindolo ward, Chileshe Bweupe for Parklands ward, Bibian Nyeleti for Buchi ward, Gift Kalumba for Rokana ward, Ackim Ngulube for Twibukishe ward and Charles Bwembya for Miseshi ward.
In Wusakile constituency, Francis Miti has been adopted for Wusakile ward, Webster Malama for Chibote ward, Stephen Njovu for Chamboli ward, Evaristo Chilufya for Luangwa ward, Patrick Mutono for Limaposa ward.
Under Kamfinsa Constituency, PF has adopted Henry Kabwita for Kamfinsa ward, John Chilupula for Bupe ward, Kelvin Sinyangwe for Kafue ward and Evans Nsokolo Siame for Ndeke ward.
And the MMD has adopted Veronica Chikolwa Malitoli, the wife to former Nkana and Zambia national team defender Mordon Malitoli in Lubwa ward of Kwacha constituency, while Abinala Mumba has been retained in Chantente ward.
Others adopted on MMD ticket under Kwacha Constituency are Martin Nkole walipanshi for Ipusukilo ward, Charity Dioma for Riverside ward, Eric Kamanga for Kwacha ward Vincent Chipande for Bulangililo ward.
In Nkana constituency, the MMD has adopted Lizzy Bwalya Phiri in Parklands ward, George Kalunga for Buchi ward, Esther Muchaile for Rokana ward, Douglas Moyo for Miseshi ward, Conceptor Chapemba for Mindolo ward, Margaret Katongo for Kamakonde ward, and Gaddy Simukoko for Mukuba Ward.
In Wusakile constituency, the MMD has adopted Costain Mweemba for Luangwa ward, Marjory Kombe for Chibote ward, Mulaku Malunga for Wusakile ward, Uledi Phiri for Limaposa ward and Mary Yoram Mwansa for Chamboli ward.
In Chimwemwe constituency, Loveness Nzunda has been adopted in Chimwemwe ward, Mathews Mangala for Buntungwa ward, Modesty Kwimba for Twatasha ward, James Mwale for Itimpi ward, Berry Muwaya for Lubuto ward and Isaac Mwewa for Kawama ward.
In Kamfinsa Constituency, the ruling party has adopted Fightwell Mugala for Bupe ward, Philison Phiri for Kafue ward, Chanda Kobili for Ndeke ward and Mary Yoram Mwansa for Chamboli Ward.
