Opened this from an email or social app?
Gmail, Outlook and Instagram open links in their own browser, which can’t add to your home screen. Tap ⋯ or the share icon, choose “Open in Safari” or “Open in Chrome”, then follow the steps below.
Add Dioma on iPhone
About 20 seconds, in Safari.
1
Open my.dioma.com in Safari
Log in the way you normally do.
2
Tap the Share button
The square with an arrow pointing up. On newer iPhones, tap ⋯ first to find it.
3
Tap “Add to Home Screen”
Scroll down the menu if you don’t see it, then tap Add. Dioma now opens from your home screen, full-screen.
Questions about the Dioma app
Is Dioma in the App Store or Google Play?
No. Dioma installs straight from your browser instead, so there is nothing to find in a store and nothing to download. Once it’s on your home screen, it opens full-screen with its own icon, like your other apps.
What’s different from using Dioma in my browser?
Nothing about Dioma itself: same account, same level, same progress. What changes is how you get to it. It’s one tap from your home screen, it opens full-screen without the browser bar, and it has its own place when you switch between apps.
Does it cost anything?
No. Adding Dioma to your home screen is free, and it doesn’t change your plan or your trial. It’s the same account.
Will I have to log in again?
You may be asked to log in once, the first time you open Dioma from your home screen. After that it keeps you signed in, the same as your browser does.
Do I need to update it?
No. Dioma updates itself, so every time you open it you get the latest version.
Does it work offline?
No. Dioma needs an internet connection, because your corrections are generated as you practice.
Will I get notifications?
Not as phone notifications yet. Practice reminders come by email anywhere in the world, or by text message to a US number. Turn them on under Practice Reminders in your account settings.
Can I use Dioma on more than one device?
Yes. Add it to your phone and keep using it on your laptop, with one account. Your progress follows you, and the writing practice is often easier on a keyboard.
I use Chrome on my iPhone. Can I still add it?
Use Safari for this step. It’s the path we’ve tested on iPhone. Once Dioma is on your home screen, it opens in its own window, whatever browser you normally use.
I don’t see “Add to Home Screen” or “Install”.
Check two things. First, make sure the page is open in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, not inside Gmail, Outlook, Instagram or another app’s built-in browser. Second, on Android the menu wording varies by phone: look for “Install and create shortcut”, “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
How do I remove it?
Press and hold the Dioma icon and remove it, the way you would any other app. Your account and progress aren’t affected, and you can add it back any time.
Something isn’t working. Who do I tell?
Write to us through the help center at help.dioma.com, and tell us which phone and browser you’re using.
