HOW IT WORKS · SPANISH
Teachers mapped every Spanish topic from A2 to C1. Your results decide what you practice next.
Dioma isn’t a course that walks everyone down the same path. You speak and write in Spanish, every correction moves a topic on your map, and every three sessions your plan is rebuilt from it.

One session, and what it changes
Every session starts from your map and ends by moving it. This is the loop you start on day one of your trial.
STEP 1 · TODAY’S TOPICS
You don’t browse a lesson library. Dioma reads your map and puts the topics you’re getting wrong first, then the topics at your level you haven’t tried yet. Each session is a mix of speaking and writing, set by you.
Your level is your choice. Dioma checks it every three sessions and suggests a move when your results support one.
STEP 2 · START SPEAKING AND WRITING
“Tell a funny story from your childhood: set the scene with the imperfecto, then land the punchline with the pretérito.” You write it and say it out loud. No multiple choice, you produce the language from scratch.
Prompts pull you off your usual phrases and into the grammar you’ve been avoiding.
STEP 3 · YOU’RE CORRECTED
“Great use of jugaba, but for who you used to be, era, not fui. Imperfecto for ongoing states.” Dioma checks what you produced against the full expert curriculum, not just today’s topic, and not a generic chatbot guess.
Educators write the rules. AI only delivers them in real time, so the fix is accurate on purpose. What the AI never decides →
WHY THIS ISN’T A COURSE
A course moves everyone down the same path. Dioma moves you to the topics you need.
Beginner apps teach in a fixed order, so two learners with different gaps get the same next lesson. Dioma tracks every grammar topic at your level and builds each session from your own results.
A LINEAR COURSE
Lesson 12 comes after lesson 11, whatever you got wrong in lesson 11.

STEP 4 · YOUR MAP MOVES
Every correction moves a topic on your map.
Every three sessions, your plan is rebuilt from it. Here’s an example B1 learner, four weeks apart: no streaks, no badges, just topics filling in.

COMING SOON · SCENARIOS
A short role-play, built on the topic you’re practicing.
Step into a situation at your level, like swapping weekend stories with a friend. Reply out loud, hear your partner answer what you actually said, and reach the goal of the scene. Help is there if you want it: a translation, a replay, a way to start your reply, words you might use. Feedback on every turn comes when you finish.
In testing, not yet part of your trial. The preview below is a scripted prototype.
SCENARIOS PREVIEW
The whole role-play, start to finish.
About two minutes, with sound: a B1 conversation with Javier about a wedding weekend, then the feedback on every turn.
Scripted demo on a preview build of Scenarios. The learner’s turns use a synthetic voice.
COMING SOON · OPEN PRACTICE
Name a show you watched, a podcast you heard or something you read. Dioma gives you two or three questions at your level to speak or write about it, with corrections like any other exercise.
In development, not yet part of your trial.
OPEN PRACTICE · SOMETHING FROM MY WEEK
“I watched a documentary about street food in Mexico City.”
QUESTIONS TO PRACTICE WITH
¿Qué fue lo más interesante que aprendiste?
Si pudieras probar un plato, ¿cuál elegirías y por qué?

Why it works
Why it’s built this way
These pieces explain the machinery behind the map: who writes the curriculum, what the AI does and doesn’t do, and how Dioma keeps you at the right level.
Learning vs. Practicing: Why Dioma Is a Practice Engine
Studying the subjunctive and producing it under real-time pressure are different acts, and Dioma was deliberately built for practice.
How Dioma Uses AI, and What It Never Decides
Generative AI delivers Dioma’s feedback in real time, inside a curriculum educators wrote. Your placement, level, and progress are decided by fixed rules, not by a model.
What Effective Language Corrections Actually Look Like
Most language tools show you the right answer and move on, which research identifies as the least effective kind of feedback.
Practice Tests vs. Targeted Practice
Practice tests are excellent at telling you what's wrong, and a slow way to fix it. Targeted practice on the gap they reveal moves the score.
How Serious Learners Get Placed at the Right Level
A quiz that hands you a flattering 'B2' feels good for ten minutes, until the exercises turn into a battle. Dioma places you conservatively, re-assessing every 3 sessions.
How Dioma's Levels and Curriculum Actually Work
The actual numbers behind each level and sub-level, broken down by language, plus exactly how placement and recalibration decide what Dioma's learners see next.
